Browser for visually impaired people 
The University Grants Commission has sanctioned Rs. 10.59 lakh to the 
Department of Computer Science, Avinashilingam University for Women here, to 
undertake a research project on "automatic Tamil voice recognition browser for 
visually impaired people".
The project with V. Radha, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science, 
as the Principal Investigator will focus on development of an internet browser 
to revolutionise the way the visually impaired learners read and write. M. 
Krishnaveni, Research Assistant, Department of Computer Science, will be the 
co-investigator.
