I second that recommendation. My brother uses a netbook which weighs only 1 kg while my laptop weighs 2.5 kgs.

I agree. I had experience with Toshiba and HP, the later is far better
in terms of their customer service. If I were you, I would consider
netbook as an option since it is easy to carry and has almost all the
functions of a laptop.
