one of my friends wants too purchase an insurance policy under postal life
insurance scheme. so he wants to know whether the rules have been changed in
accordance to the PWD act. yesterday I visited the relevant website:
indiapost.gov.in and found the following information under the link:
HANDICAPPED PERSONS.
Postal Life Insurance
Handicapped Persons
a.. Minimum sum assured is Rs.10,000/-
b.. Maximum sum assured is Rs.1,00,000/-
Subject to payment of extra premium rest of the conditions are same as
applicable to relevant scheme.
THIS INFORMATION SUGGESTS THAT EITHER THE WEBSITE IS NOT UPDATED OR RULES HAVE
NOT BEEN CHANGED IN ACCORDANCE TO THE DELHI HIGH COURT RULING.
