Dear Members, Friends and Supporters of DAISY, The February issue of the DAISY Planet is now available at: http://www.daisy.org/planet-2010-02. February may be a short month, but it has nonetheless been a busy month for many in the DAISY community. This issue of the Planet is overflowing with information about recent activities and accomplishments. If you access the Planet from the DAISY home page rather than through the direct link above, please note that only the 1st four articles in this issue are listed in the homepage Planet box - there are more! The vernal (or March) equinox will soon be here to mark the beginning of spring in the northern hemisphere and autumn in the southern hemisphere. There is probably enough reading in this issue of the Planet to keep you busy until March 20 when the equinox arrives! The February "Story" is Part 2 of Jim Fruchterman's story. Both parts 1 and 2 illustrate how the goals and efforts of a single person can affect so many people (in a positive way). Thank you Jim for sharing your story and for all you've done to help improve information access. The DAISY Planet is your newsletter, and your input and comments make it meaningful to our community and others interested in information access. Please share news and updates about your organization's or company's DAISY activities with us by using the Contact Us form on the DAISY Web site (http://www.daisy.org/contactus/) selecting the "DAISY Planet Newsletter" category). Letters to the Editor are, as always, most welcome. Please forward this email to everyone you know who may be interested in reading about DAISY, the DAISY Consortium and other topics of interest to the DAISY community. All members of our mailing lists receive "The DAISY Planet". Warm wishes to all, Lynn ======= Lynn Leith, Editor of the DAISY Planet, the DAISY Consortium Newsletter, [email protected], +1,905,304-9398, Canada --- The BEST Way to Read and Publish: http://www.daisy.org/get-involved To unsubscribe send a message to [email protected] with the subject unsubscribe.
