Hello, For some days there is a high-pitched sound generated by my pc. I am using a 2.8 ghz celeron processor. Perhaps the sound is generated by the fan. It's very irritating and keeps increasing when I use a heavy software programme like sound forge or I scan the pc for virus. Sound also increases automatically when antivirus definitions are updated. What can I do to reduce the noise? It's now about three and a half year old.
