Subhash ji, a Visually Challenged and Joint Organizing Secretary of SAKSHAM -
Samadrishti Kshamatha Vikas Aevam Anusandhan Mandal - Kerala Pranth was
attacked by motor cycle born goons of CPI(M) and Jihadists in Palakkad at 8 pm
on Saturday, 13th March 2010. Subhash is dealing in the business of musical
instruments. He was attacked when he closed his shop and was returning home. In
the attack Subhash sustained two severe head injuries and two of his left hand
fingers were cut off permanently.
Subhash was immediately taken to Ramakrishna hospital , Coimbatore. He is
recovering now.
SAKSHAM works for the the welfare and rehabilitation of the Differently Abled
and Disability prevention. SAKSHAM Kerala runs a hostel for Visually Challenged
in Palakkad. It organizes self help effort of VCs by selling the agarbathi,
phenol, soaps made by them. It organizes Musical bands of VCs for their
sustenance.
SAKSHAM condemns this attack in strongest terms. It will not deviate from its
patriotic service activities under duress.
