Dear all: Retina India Delhi is flagging off its monthly meeting with an interesting topic: what are the challenges persons with visually impairment face in terms of education, training and job opportunities. Dr.Jitendra Agarwal, whose SARTHAK educational trust is doing an incredible job in training and placement of persons with visual impairment in Delhi, will address the meeting. If someone becomes visually impaired due to retinal conditions, is there a possibility of them getting training and finding a job? The meeting would throw more light on this question and many others on the subject. Details below: Date: May 29 Venue: DU-NTPC Training Centre, Tutorial building , Arts Faculty building, University of Delhi, Delhi - 7. This Arts Faculty Gate is opposite the Shri Ram College of Commerce gate, take a left. To reach the venue, if you are taking the metro, you can get down at Vishva Vidyalaya Stn and this bldg is abt 1 km distance from the metro station. If it is a bus, get down at Vishva Vidyalaya bus station, again abt 1 km distance. There will be a brief introduction of Retina India and what the organisation stands for. The meeting will also discuss the work that can be taken up by the members in Delhi. There will also be a short discussion on the current treatment options for some of the diseases.
