Hello Vamshi,
When you say the same thing is happening when you are typing
in Word, what do you mean? Do you mean that the font says 12, but when you
write something it looks bigger? If this is the case, then perhaps the zoom is
off.
Go to the view menu and then to zoom. Confirm that it is set to 100%. This is
just an idea. Hope it helps!

What is the original font of the text that you are copying? Is it also
large? Usually, when you paste, the source's formatting is kept. Use the
paste special option to paste the source according to the destination's
format.
