hello friend,
if you want to reply for any message, then you should select  the link
"reply" from the links list.
alternatively, you can also press the key combination "alt+r" and your
 cursor will be placed on "reply link" on that point,  you have to
press enter and then the compose  form will be apere.
one thing that i would like to remind you that you should press
ctrl+home before  writing  in the message body area.
