Hi austin What is nature of problem? hard disk is detected in cmos setup? even in totally dead hard disk data recovery is possible, cost is very high between Rs 15-20000. some free data recovery software are also available. also 100% data recovery is not possible. So depends on worth of data & its condition data. Ask him to give his hard disk to some expert so chances of recovery are not reduced.
