Hi friends,
I'm strongly opposed to the concept of a common center. In my opinion, we
should make sure that the VI candidate is allotted the center nearest to his
house. Even in a city like Mumbai, there will not be more than say 50 VI
candidates for a major examination like graduation. Thus 1 or maximum 2 centers
would be designated as VI centers. One would be significantly at a disadvantage
if the common center is far away from his/her house thereby requiring long
commute. In the exam days, surely none of us would want to spend say 4 to 6
hours in travelling. So lets ensure that the center is nearest to the place of
residence of a VI. To solve the problem of improper application of rules and
regulations, I had suggested to have a designated person appointed by the
examination authorities with his all contact data made available on the website
and in the permission letter. Such person should have the authority to direct
the center in charges to take necessary action to ensure that the examination
is conducted properly and necessary relief is provided to the VI where
necessary.

Best Regards,
