Retina India Chennai chapter invites people for its formal chapter meeting on 26th September 2010 (Sunday) at 3.30p.m at PSB Mini Hall, Ist Floor, 1239-A, 18th Main Road, Anna Nagar, Chennai 600 040. (near Anna Nagar West Terminus and Kambar Colony). The whole programme is focussed towards recognising the talents of visually impaired individuals : 1. Prayer song by Mrs. Vidhya Kannan (lv) 2. Welcome address by the co-ordinator 3. Speech by the Chief guest and Briefing on Retina India by our Trustee Member 4. A lyric about Retina India in English by Mrs. Latha Devi of Indian Bank. 5. Classical music by Mrs. Vidhya Kannan 6. Light music by Anandha Ragam, compiled by Dindigual Prabhakaran and party, group of visually impaired persons 7. Vote of Thanks To mark theoccasion of World Retina Day on the same day, we have arranged for a Radio show in the FM Rainbow Chennai (101.4 me.htz.) between 11a.m. and 12noon by Dr. Ramanakumar, Retina specialist, who will interact with the public over phone in Tamil. Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting, including people with retinal ailments, their family members, volunteers who are working in the field of disability, or who wish to work in the field. People with other eye problems are also welcome to attend, since some of the projects that Retina India will undertake, working alongside other organizations in the field, will be of help to them too. We will welcome the attendees' suggestions of what they expect from Retina India, what would they want the organization to do in the short term as well as in the long term.
