Hello sir, regarding this very important point raised by you, I just wish to
quote my own experience, wherein I had to undergo medical verification firstly
for my appointment in a private college and secondly at the time of my
appointment as permanent lecturer in Govt College for women, Ludhiana. In both
these instances, after my complete medical check up, the civil surgeon clearly
wrote in my fitness certificate, "the candidate has been found fully fit except
his visual impairment, which is in no way a hindrance in the due performance of
his duties as a lecturer". It would be grate if this instance can be quoted as
an example in the due context.
