The following classic method should work for you: Press CTRL+G to open GoTo dialog box. Specify the column(s) to be hidden as below:
a1:b65536 You need to specify the row numbers as 1 and 65536 in start and end cell address respectively in order to select the entire column. Press ALT+O followed by C and H. I consider this as classic method as this method was used in Excel 2003 and prior versions. The following is how you can hide column(s) in Excel 2007: Place the cursor in the column to hide.
