DAISY Consortium is an organization based in Switzerland and has limited staff. Employment opportunities mainly lie with the organizations who implement the DAISY standards. One could become a talking book editor, production supervisor or a trainer in the organizations who produce DAISY books.

Subject: DAISY Planet for December 2010

Dear Members, Friends and Supporters of DAISY,

The December issue of the DAISY Planet is published on the DAISY website at:
http://www.daisy.org/planet-2010-12.

This issue contains articles about a wide variety of topics, including the article "DAISY 4/EPUB3: What Does It All Mean?" which is the second part of a two part article on DAISY and EPUB. Once again I would like to thank those
of you who sent suggestions and articles for our newsletter.

The "Story" this month is from Dr. Thomas Kahlisch, Director of DZB in
Leipzig, Germany. Thank you Thomas for sharing it with us.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and as a member of the DAISY Team, I
wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season, and a very DAISY New Year!

Please forward this email to everyone you know who may be interested in
reading about DAISY, the DAISY Consortium and other topics of interest to
the DAISY community.

All members of our mailing lists receive "The DAISY Planet".

With wishes for all the best in the coming year, Lynn ======= Lynn Leith,
Editor of the DAISY Planet, the DAISY Consortium Newsletter,
