Dear all, debate on Braille really express its usefulness and relevance in our lives.
though technology made us more competent, growing and enlightened, one should not ignore learning Braille to VI kids. every kid must learn Braille at elementry stage of education because this is the time when child needs to learn basics, like, knowledge of language, concept of words, spellings etc. for this, good combination of Braille and computer is required. secondly, Braille is the important source of employment of VI candidates. (many candidates got employment after doing shorthand course from AICB and other institutes, including me.) thirdly, we can utilise Braille (for reading and writing) where technology is temporarily or by any reason is not available to us. In nutshell, we have to grow a tree with roots of Braille and branches of computer. Sandeep Gautam To unsubscribe send a message to [email protected] with the subject unsubscribe.
