Department of Personnel and Training (DOP&T), has undertaken a review of the Special recruitment drive for filling up the backlog reserved vacancies for persons with disabilities, which was launched vide OM dated 27.11.2008. The Ministry has noted that a large number of backlog vacancies have not been filled up yet. Therefore, the DOPT has directed that all the Ministries/Departments/attached/Subordinate Offices should take concerted efforts to fill up all the backlong reserved vacancies on or before 30.06.2011. The progress achieved in the matter will be monitored and reported to the Minister in charge, every month. Certain details are also called for putting up before the Cabinet.
