Dear All Trying to connect bsnl broadband using ADSL modem of ZTE corporation (ZXDSL831AII), which is a type one modem having USB and LAN connectivity. The operating system is windows 7 64 bit, Vaio laptop. In modem configurations “PPPOE_35” connection is set to “always on” mode, VCI value is 35, leaving VPI and WAN IP address blank, service category is UPR without CBR. When I try to connect it says “Error 651, the modem or another connecting device has reported an error”. According to google, it’s a known bug of windows 7, and since we have users of win 7 over here, can I request them to extend their valuable guidance in solving out this problem? Regards, Amar Jain.
