Hi All
Back from GUJ, so now I did have proper word with mom.
Well in my case mom at first only told the girl that I am disabled, but she
responded as "it must be mentioned because in future he will get many
benefits". And then she filled up q9, even before I told my mom the code and
all. Looking at this statement, I believe she will not be missing this
important question at every home.
I am particularly interested in feedback from such persons who don't have
internet access. Because we all are well aware, but what is the situation on
that side?
Let me see if I can catch up with my Rajasthan friends and can collect the
feedback.
Regards
Amar Jain.

Hello All,
Question - Do you think correct numbers will be highlighted after
census, we are just talking about cities where people are aware and
enumerator are guided but majority of our population live outside
cities.

It is a good idea Srinivasu. We can send it to Registrar General of
India
but also submit copies to Census Offices in our respective states.
One of our volunteers have already started a survey in his college - he
is
asking his classmates whether Question 9 was asked when enumerators
visited
their families. He started this on his own - he was actively helping us
in
awareness campaign on Census and was upset when the question was not
asked
to his mother. Will share this report with you once it is compiled.

Subject: [AI] Share census experience
Hi Friends,
I have seen several threads on sharing their census experience and I
thought, it would be nice to put all experiences together and then
share as
a single PDF documents and arrange to send the same to concerned
authorities. With that objective, I have created a blog post at
http://srinivasu.org/blog/2011/02/census-experience-by-people-with-disab
ilities/Please
join the discussion and once we feel, it's good to share, we can send
it across to different authorities.
Kanchan, would you figure out who should we share these experiences?
Thanks,
-Srinivasu
