Dear all,

Many thanks for your prompt reply. As I understand, there's no
regulation which prohibits colleges to schedule the third year exams
with other exams. I am of a humble opinion that if there is no such
provision, we as a group should consider lobbying for the same. As you
all are aware, we face significant difficulty in finding a writer.
Often, we find a writer only at the last moment and do not get a decent
opportunity to practice with the writer. An absence of any such
regulation for prohibition only adds to the difficulty. Consider a
situation where all or majority of the colleges in a city decide to
schedule exams for all 3 years in a graduation course such that a few
exam dates clash with the third year exams. Where is a person expected
to find a writer from in such a scenario? Do the authorities expect such
a candidate to import a writer? I am aware that we can find a writer
from a different stream or opt for a more junior writer. In my opinion
one should have this choice and should not be put in a situation where
he/she is compelled to do so. Let's not forget that the students of
board and university levels are advised to practice with the same pen
throughout the year so that they do not face any difficulty. How then is
the same logic not applied in case of a writer.

Let me leave the group with the above thought and hope for the best...

Subject: Need urgent guidance for mumbai university exam

Dear all,

My brother is going to appear for his third year Bachelor of Mass Media
(BMM) final examination from 30 March 2011. As his college has arranged
to schedule the second year BMM exams on the same days, he is not able
to take help of his regular writer who studies in second year BMM.

I was wondering if there is any circular or regulations which prohibit
colleges from scheduling second year exams on the same date as the third
year exams. If yes, request you to kindly forward the same on my
personal id [email protected]

Thanks and regards,

Apoorv
