Hello all, As you know I was appointed as superinentend of a community health centre and I took charge on Oct. At that time the infra structure was not good and all the funds allotted were returned. After taking charge I slowly started developing the fcilities of the hospital using available funds. My immediate superior officer, the District Medical Officer is very much supportive for my work. For the O P is concerned there is two junior doctors to assisst me and I consult the patients who particularly wants to see me. On thursday 17th my second supervisor ,next to D M O visited my institution. She came to my office room and told me that there is a complaint against me . When I asked she replied that the complaint is regarding my handwritting which is not good and the public cannot read it. Immediately I said that I am suffering from central macular degeeneration and due to the field defect the handwritting is like this. Without caring it she constantly harassed me for about 45 minutes in front of my subordinates and the patients who are waiting to consult me. Then she asked the pharmacist to write down the statement and she asked to write down whatever she stated. All these happened in front of a male staff who accompanied her. Then she went to the dispensary and made unnecessary commends about my prescriptions Afterwords she shouted ' I will forward the report to health secretary and the Govt. will make a decision' . When I told that I will take the print of my report, she refused it and strictly ordered to write in front of her When a disabled comes into a competitive position , in spite of all good work why people tend to do so? If we sit idlly then they give some compassion, if we work they don't accept that we can work. I need the guidence of all senior members in this situation.
