better option, he should learn basic typewriting skills. you can take help
by installing typing tutor. it can be downloaded from American printing
house website. you also can make him practice with notepad or wordpad
application with basic typing tutorial books available in market. Braille
keypad should be used as an additional support. you can contact freedom
scientific for Braille keypad. some Braille note takers also support this
feature. you can use them as Braille input device for computer. some note
takers can independently be used as stand alone computing device. you can
also contact all india confederation of the blind, delhi, they have many
accessible computing device for sale.

Actually he uses the computer keyboard at school. However, he types by the
location of the key on the keyboard and not touch typing. For this reason,
I thought giving him a Braille computer keyboard with those 6 keys and
additional direction keys, may help speed and also encourage learning
Braille. There is one such keyboard by portset. What is your opinion on
this?
