Hi Amar,

Just wondering if the same thing is available for Windows XP.

Do let me know if you come across one.

Subject: [AI] Making Jaws to read Rupee Symbol.

Dear All
ubuntu was the first OS to implement rupee symbol. However Microsoft also
released a hotfix for typing rupee symbol in office products etc., in some
common fonts.
Just now I downloaded the update, and its working fine. However, Jaws does
not read the rupee symbol. Is it something on which Freedomscientific need
to update their product or its something that we need to have in order for
Jaws to read?
I wish even we could have currency identifier to make the things easier.
Seeking for your advice, and if its issue at the FS’s end, then I will be
happy to report them.
For those who want to download the update may visit:

For writing the rupee symbol, type 20b9 followed by Alt X.
Please note that those who don’t have recent fonts update will not be able
to see the rupee symbol, a way of dealing with it is to just preserve the
fonts while saving the file.
Regards
Amar Jain.
