Using gmail in standard view will be difficult up to some extent, so the
suggestion is to use either the basic html view, which can be accessed using
the following link:
http://mail.google.com/mail/h/
(Trick: at the bottem of the page, click on set as default link, which will
set this view as default for your account)
The second alternative is to use mobile version, wherein you will not be
able to download attachments, and if the messege is larger then you will
have to click on more link for going to next part of the messege.
