Hi all, Many of us have been denied or have faced resistance on some or the other filmsy grounds from railway booking officials to give ticket on concession given to blind people. This concession is given as per rule 101 clause 9(1) and 9(2) of Indian railways. Reading it enlightens us about so many provisions which we never knew and also dismisses few silly reasons to deny us ticket on concession. You may download the rule, both in English and Hindi (accessible) from our site at http://www.eyeway.org/informs/acts-and-policies/central-government-provisions/travel-concessions.
Hope it helps, thanks and regards, Pranay Gadodia | Programme Manager Project Eyeway - A knowledge resource for living a fuller life with vision loss C/o Score Foundation, 17/107, Basement, Vikram Vihar, Lajpatnagar 4, New Delhi 110024, INDIA.
