Hi, In my case, I could update my phone's software using "Software update" available in "Folder Settings" and it uses GPRS on the phone and after the successful instalation, phone rebooted automatically. Not necessarily, one needs to go to the "Device manager" and should try to trace the above mentioned item instead. One need to check in the specifications given for a particular handset whether that phone has the facility of "UDA" (Update Over the Air).

So, I usually update my phone using Nokia software updater available on nokia's website and all I need for that is a PC with internet connection and a USB cable to connect to the phone (bluetooth I'll not advice as it's too slow & I'm not even sure if it does work with the same). Hope this helps, write back if you need step by step instructions On 4/21/11, jagadeshwari kumari <jags...@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi all! writing back to you all again seeking help pertaining to > firmware updation in E71.
