Ekinath Bro
I am using demat come trading account with online trading facility of SBI.
I used thumb impression for account opening, which can be verified by notary public or Depository Participent's official, or by branch manager of your bank.
You may download the NSDL / CDSL circular for the reference.
In any case if the DP is still not convinced, then drop an email to compliance officer of NSDL / CDSL (with which you want to open your demat account).
Regards
Amar Jain.
