another option is USB keyboard.
i use USB keyboard for typing purpose. you can buy it from any hardware
shop. you can also select a portable size USB keyboard, which can be kept in
your laptop's bag. in my case i am using full size USB desktop layout
keyboard. it is a complete desktop keyboard, can be connected via USB.

Subject: [AI] Touch pad in Dell inspiron

Hi all,
I use a Dell Inspiron laptop. Is there a short cut key to disable the
touch pad? if not, where in windows can I do so?

While typing, a slightest touch of my lower palm on the touch pad clicks
the mouse and my PC cursor is relocated. This keeps happening and I have
to bring the cursor back to its original position.

Disabling the HID compliant mouse in the Mouse section of control panel
didn't help, the touch pad was still working.

Any ideas?

thanks and regards,
