another option is USB keyboard. i use USB keyboard for typing purpose. you can buy it from any hardware shop. you can also select a portable size USB keyboard, which can be kept in your laptop's bag. in my case i am using full size USB desktop layout keyboard. it is a complete desktop keyboard, can be connected via USB.

Hi all, I use a Dell Inspiron laptop. Is there a short cut key to disable the touch pad? if not, where in windows can I do so? While typing, a slightest touch of my lower palm on the touch pad clicks the mouse and my PC cursor is relocated. This keeps happening and I have to bring the cursor back to its original position. Disabling the HID compliant mouse in the Mouse section of control panel didn't help, the touch pad was still working.
