Good Morning Mr. Singla,
Indeed it can be termed as one of the common problems among VI employees.
Its nice to hear that you got good managerial designation justifying your
qualification.
In technical sense, you should go with Mr. Prashant mail as he has very big and
valuable experience working with VI persons.
I feel, this problem comprises a good amount of human behavioural aspect than
technical one.
Though it is imperative that VI person should be technically well equipped and
must be updated with latest developments.
keep talking with your superiors and you are the only who has to search for
suitable job and work oppportunity surrounding your office place. Because you
know what kind of works are being performed in your local office environment
and can find out proper space where you can fit yourself to flow in the
mainstream. You should not hesitate to grab small work opportunities in
beginning (though somehow match with your qualification).
Keep try to upgrade and update your skills and experience.
always believe in good interpersonal relations
All the best

hi all

thanks for your kind attention to my mail.

i am Deepak kumar singla, a BTech and MBA visually impaired person
from punjab. i got into government service only last year but since
then i am facing the same problem though i am in my second service
since then

actually last year i got selected as clerk in the punjab state
agricultural marketing board and i was posted at the head office at
chandigarh. but they didntgive me any work as most of the work is
being done in the official language i.e. punjabi. on my repeated
requests and efforts to convince the officials they put me into
computer cell but the position remained same.

simultaneously i tried my level best to get some good position in any
other organisation so that i could be able to contribute towards the
goals of the organisation and at the same time justify the salary
drawn by me. and, with the grace of god i got a chance and has been
appointed as district manager (a group A post) in the punjab state
warehousing corporation. presently, i am in chandigarh, although the
position is for the field but due to vision impairment the department
has decided to keep me at head office. however the situation is same
even now: i am without work anyways.

some of my other friends are also working in banks and other state
departments who are also facing the same problems so i request you all
to please help me in this regard and tell me how to come out of this
problem. i am writing this mail with the feeling that there are a
number of seniors who are in good positions and are working well.
please guide me in this regard.

looking forward for a positive response.
