I am using Compaq Presario CQ60. Above said command is not working in my

In compaq presario models
fn+home mutes the audio
fn+end unmute the audio
fn+page up increases the volume
fn+page down decreases the volume
fn+f7 decreases the brightness
fn+f8 increases the brightness

Guess the function key is for the f1 to f12, and for getting keys
which are not available.
so by the press of the Function key you can get page up and page down,
PC cursor jaws cursor, and a few more if I am right.
