contacts r there in contact folder

But it does not mean that those files are not there. They should
simply be hidden. For example, if you back-up your phone on the
memory, there will be a back-up folder and the folder will not show
you anything via the file manager. The best way to see if your
contacts are saved on the memory card is to restore your contact list.
