Hello All,

I would go for regular college with support from NGO's and libraries in
studies catering to VI community, there could be reservation in such
institutions but passing out from regular college would certainly have
an advantage.

Regards,

Subject: Re: [AI] Now engineering college for visually challenged too

I would like to know accessindians views on this kind of special
education
at the higher level. I understand that it is good because it becomes
easier
for the student to study in this kind of environment. It is very tough
for
a student to manage in a regular college because of lack of accessible
material, attitude of teachers, no reasonable accomodation etc.
However
some of these colleges do not provide the latest education, nor are the
students recognised for jobs etc. I am not listing the entire list of
pros
and cons.
I am just curious to hear others opinion on the matter. Please do not
mistake what I am asking here. I am not specifically referring to the
organisation mentioned in the news report. I have to keep facing this
question in court and at meetings where there are well meaning people
who
suggest such "specials"
Thanks
