U I D special Camp Announcement

The Xavier’s Resource Center for
the Visually Challenged (XRCVC) along with Mahaonline (an UID Enrolment Agency)
is pleased to announce that a UID (AADHAR card) special camp is being organized
on the 29th, 30th and 31st of August. This camp which will be open to all
visually
challenged persons will be organized in the St. Xavier’s College Hall. Those
interested may please download the UID Enrolment
Form available at our website’s home page www.xrcvc.org

This form once filled up along
with the copy of Date of Birth (DOB), Proof of Identity (POI) or Proof of
Address (POA) [for detail list
please download document “Mandatory documents.doc” from our website’s home
page) needs to be
submitted at the XRCVC office in hard copy.
Visually challenged persons need to submit a copy of their disability
certificate issued by a competent medical authority along with enrolment form
and POI/POA to the XRCVC office. The XRCVC office will be accepting Enrolment
Forms (EA) on all working days between 10 am and 5:30 pm. Please note that over
and above Sundays the XRCVC will also be closed on the following dates 13th,
15th and 19th August

On receiving and verifying the
enrolment form and DOB/POA/POI the XRCVC will issue a confirmation along with
the suitable date / time slot by way
of appointment. Given the fact that we
expect a large response we will have to restrict appointment slots on the basis
of First
Come First Serve. In case a
person misses their appointment slot in all likelihood we will not be able to
adjust and re-allot a new time as the process requires proper scheduling. Our
attempt to give a time slot is aimed at
reducing waiting time as far as possible.
Drop by persons on those days without appointments will not be
entertained.

The entire process per person is
expected to take anything from 10 to 20 minutes. During this time essential
biometric data
along with the photograph will be captured.
The XRCVC is working on this project in order to help the visually
challenged given the fact that capturing the iris can pose a problem. The
person will also have an opportunity to
confirm their basic data which has been provided by them on the form. The
staff of enrolment agency during the camp
will be better trained to handle biometric exceptions.

Your enrolment form and required
copy of documents needs to be delivered to XRCVC, St. Xavier’s College, 5,
Mahapalika Marg, Opp. Metro theatre, Between Rang Bhavan and Cama hospital,
Mumbai - 400 001 at the earliest.

The XRCVC is facilitating the
process and is providing basic logistical support to the Mahaonline who will be
fully responsible for the actual data capturing and verification.
