I too encountered the issue with music player, though I don't use quick office. I have set Talks to Mute only in the music player by following the steps below:
1. Turn on the music player. 2. Turn on JAWS by pressing Talks key+Menu Key. 3. Press Key1 fir options. Select App Specific Settings from options. 4. Press Key1 again for options. Select Add App Specific Value from options. 5. Arrow down to the option called Mute and select it. It will appear in the landing window. Now when you mute Talks being in the music player, it would not interfere with other applications on your phone. hth...
