Just returned from the court and I can only say that my court is currently the
most proactive court. Based on some of their directions Disabled employees will
get software, devises and gadgets which will help them in their work.
This is not only for state government employees but also for PSUs and
Universities.
Ironically the word has not spread- The Social justice Ministry has written to
other ministries etc but this may or may not have percolated to the Disabled
employees.
Pleas get in touch with the visually challenged employees.Help them to choose
their requirements. Let these employees inform their employers of their
requirements and also please send in their list to
Pallavi Kadam at NAB India or Prashant at XrCVC and to me ultimately. I have to
tell the court on 4th October what the requirements are.
It was very embarrasing to tell the court today that we dont have a list of
visually challenged government employees.
The GR calling for requirements is on the Maharashtra Social Justice
Ministry's website. It is dated 3rd June 2011.
Please spread the word.
The order to provide technology is path breaking in this country. Let us help
it fructify.
