I use Umex 4100, and it has been working for me for the last six-seven years. So, it means everyone talks about the brand of the scanner that he or she has. There is noone who says that a particular brand is not good. So, to conclude, all the brands available in the market are good. It is basically an OCR with some utilities which are not found in a mere OCR. So images taken by digital cameras can't be read by kurzwiel. There are softwares that can convert images into text.
