I would like to introduce myself, I am Kapilan Rao son of Umarao. I do understand your question, it is not difficult to hold a heavy plat in one hand and your cane in the other. You would have to rest the plat on your hand and hold the bottom end of it with your palm. They will usually be some one at the other end of the table serving the food. When they see the cane they would diffinately try and help you. When you arive at the food counter ask the person serving to describe what the dishes are and how spicy it is.
