Hello, I tried it for fun. Go to an application, say run hj pad Now go to jaws dictionary manager using insert-d. Activate the add dialogue box. In the box for actual word, write a. Skip the replacement word. Tab over to select sound button and activate it. Here you will find a standard dialogue box for selecting asound. It has a lot of sounds to choose from. Activate the ok button and then save the dictionary.. Now press a on keyboard and the sound you selected will play. Try it on a rarely used application. Jaws will not utter that letter any more. You can try it for other characters.
