To use winamp to play mp4 files me should configure winamp. Go to winamp preferances, arrow down to input, tab to list view and arrow down to direct show decoder, tab to configur... And hit enter on it. Then use arrow keys to deselect the file types, navigate to the end of the list using right arrow and type ";MP4" excluding the ". Now hit enter on ok and close the preferences. Be sure to place semicolon before typing MP4. Now you can play mp4 files in winamp.
