Perhaps rules have changed, but it used to be the case that one of the police officer would escort you and the rest remained as it was stated above by other members. Although my sister and I had our parents with us, they had to enter through general Dharshan with others. As for as booking room was concerned, I did not have to furnish any medical certificate. But I guess it is a good idea to carry with you to avoid problems.
