A delegation of visually impaired candidates who have been denied civil services despite their clearing the exams and despite provision of one per cent reservation, would be meeting the Prime Minister on November 28, 2011 at 12.00 noon at Parliament House and seek his intervention.
The non-induction of these candidates is a clear case not only of discrimination against the visually impaired but also a violation of the provisions of the PwD Act, 1995. Even the directives of the courts are not being heeded to. Brinda Karat would accompany the delegation.
