I succeeded once in enabling Telugu keyboard using similar steps.
However, the next day, it did not work. What could be the reason and
do I need to enable input for Telugu language every time I switch on
the computer? Also, I did not find Telugu keyboard like Devanagari
for Hindi. Please guide with your expertise.

You must have Windows Xp CD to enable Hindi.
Follow the installation steps below.
Enabling Hindi in windows xp.
Go to control panel > regional and languages option > language tab page
(keep the windows xp cd in the cd drive).
1.. Check the check box "install files for complex script and right to
left languages (including Thai)".
2.. Select the OK button in the resulting dialogue box.
3.. Select the apply button and wait for the system to prompt for
restart.
4.. Select the YES Button in the resulting dialogue box and wait for
system to start again.
5.. After restart of the system go to control panel > regional and
language option > language tab page > details child dialogue box using
details button.
6.. In the resulting dialogue box, tab to add button and activate it.
7.. In the resulting dialogue box the first control is input language
combo box, select Hindi using H. In this combo box tab to OK button and
hit
enter. Close every open dialogue using oK button.
Please note, the same process will be applicable for enabling "Talgu"
language.

yes I downloaded it from nab website. But I didn't understand how to
enable hindi and telugu languages. When I tried to type hindi, I got
the message that the hindi tts is not installed. What could be the
problem? Looking forword to hearing from you.
