Hello Members,

Have been reading the various experiences of the members with dreams and
thought I would share my bit too.

I was normal sighted for 35 years of my life and have seen more than I can
remember. When it comes to dreams after losing sight a year back from date, the
dreams still have images and colors with actual representations of people and
places in my life. This feeling is so great at times that I do not feel like
waking up to face reality. All my senses are at work in the imaginative world
of my dream. I guess that the images represented to me in my dream are from
what I remember what things used to look like before I lost my sight. However,
one thing I noticed that might be unusual is that I see myself in the dream not
as I am today i.e. blind, but a healthy man who is doing what ever is directed
in the thought of the dream.

When I first went to NAB for my mobility training, I met many people who were
blind from birth. Out of curiosity I asked them how they dream? Some were very
candid in replying that they dreamt in sounds. I took their word for it as I
can understand that they do not have any shape or color to fall back on or
relate to. It is however very intriguing to know, how they dreamt on sexual
experiences, since this is more of a personal stand I did not further
investigate.

I wish to conclude on the following topic with a few considerations. If you
were sighted and lost your sight later on in life, you can still to some extent
visualize images. But those who have seen the world with their ears and not
their eyes, they relate to their experiences in their dreams with sounds. This
is still a open topic for other members to shed more light on.

Good day to you all.
