hello sir, it is nice to here you that you are a developer. and would like to know the better options to improve the accessibility options. i would like to recommend that the phones should not be touch screen enabled. although i am not an Android user. also i came to know that lots of visually impaired persons are using Android based phones. but in my view that the touch screen could not be useful while typing the msgs. not only this, it will also not benificial in crouded places. although this topic is not covered in your debate. but still i would like to express my views.

Dear All,

I am an Android developer and would like to have a few points for
discussion.

Android accessibility is one of the most important App that a VI will look
at so the new release of the Android Ice cream sandwich Version offers
scope for such a thing and hence i am wanting to speak here for comments.

the popular product that is provided by code factory(commercial in nature)
offers only 10 features that are covered by this application. Does this
suffice as it does not allow you other functions of the phone like media,
camera or any other app.

i have heard about talk back which is free however i have
been unsuccessful to get a feel or hear a review of the same. It is
relatively easy to get some actions read out. it is similar to the multi
lingual overlay Ejaz was suggesting on this list. there is no difference
with what he was saying and what these guys have done by giving an overlay
over the basic OS.

What i want to know is :

1.Weather this is sufficient
2. reviews about talk back.
3. will it be good if we have the entire basic apps supported by
accessibility.
4. the screen is also not read out by the Popular versions.
5. how does the VI start the app or navigate to the app.
6. Do we get a review on this from as many members as possible so that i
can write further to this mail about the available options.

All comments on this subject shall be promptly responded to and it shall
really be a good feeling for me to respond on the same. hoping to hear from
you all
