Dear Harish, I was just referring to RFID being simple rather than it being complex. I have failed to understand your usage of the word complex from the point of an extra gadget. I was referring to a simple technical meaning. As some one asked me to explain I am explaining in brief. RF or RFID is a simple radio transmitter and receiver like our FM radio. Instead of audio on FM data is sent over radio waves. In a given scenario here the user uses the transmitter to send a req to receiver the counter. And thus a message can be passed to the counter seeking attention. Specific usage in VI community is to locate baggage on a conveyor belt at airports. Pls pardon me for referring the airport scenario as it is a sensitive subject at the moment and I hope that this is just for the purpose of understanding. Or may be used in any other identification system. Such a solution costs no more than a few hundred rupees and is easily available in the form of a key ring. Regards, Kiran S Deshpande. Dear Sir, What's RF? I heard about the abbreviation RFID which is Radio Frequency Identification. What's the device that costs Rs.300? Where's it available? Is it accessible? Any phones with built-in RFID technology? Regards. On 2/27/12, Kiran <[email protected]> wrote: > Dear harish phen, > > RFID is more simple solution rather simple RF.
