The Sticky Keys feature of Windows is meant for people who find it
diffcult to press multiple keys on the keyboard simultaneously.
Pressing the SHIFT key 5 times in quick succession brings up the
Sticky Keys dialog box where one can choose to activate the feature.
When it is turne on it memorizes if the user presses the control keys
like CTRL, SHIFT, ALT, Windows Logo, etc. It combines the memorized
key with the one pressed next to form a command. For example, when
sticky keys is on, press CTRL and release it. After a while, press C.
You would hear JAWS say that the Copy function is performed. Another
example can be CTRL+SHIFT+ESCAPE that opens the task manager. Press
each of these keys individually in the sequence and you would see the
Windows Task Manager coming up. It also supports capitalization of
alphabets and keying in symbolic characters with the help of SHIFT key
in text fields. A very useful feature for those who operate the
computer with one hand or have difficulty in pressing keys
simultaneously. If it is on, you can turn it off by pressing the same
keystroke - SHIFT 5 times in quick succession. This keystroke can be
disabled from the Ease of Access Center by following the steps below
(these are for Windows 7, they may differ for Vista/XP):

1. Open Start menu and select Control Panel.
2. Tab or Arrow down to Ease of Access link and press Enter.
3. Tab or Arrow down to the link called Make the keyboard easier to
use and press Enter.
4. Tab or Arrow down to the link called Set up Sticky Keys and press Enter.
5. Tab to the checkbox labelled Turn On Sticky Keys when Shift is
pressed 5 times and uncheck it if checked with Spacebar.
6. There are other checkboxes that you may want to explore.
7. Close the open windows with ALT+F4.

Alternatively, you can press the SHIFT key 5 times to see if the
feature turns on. There's a link in the dialog box (Windows 7) that
takes you to Set up Sticky Keys (step 4 above). You can proceed from
step 5 then.

Hope I am able to tell you what you were looking for.
