I wonder if SBI has also provided them with ATM cards.

Though the step is appreciable, I have noticed that few of SBI affiliated
banks/ SBI itself straightaway deny ATM facility to visually impaired people
due to their blindness. I remember State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, which
is an affiliate of SBI still carries the old rule "ATM card cannot be
issued to Blind and illiterates"
(http://www.sbbjbank.com/downloads/ATMApplicationForm.pdf). Would have been
good if SBI had taken an awareness campaign to inform all its officials
involved in opening accounts/ issuing banking services to its customers in
all the branches. Directions are there since last four years;they just need
to be implemented.
