Greetings from the Technical Training Institute of the Pune Blind Mens
Association.
TTI is proud to announce the launch of 5 new courses at TTI from this academic
year starting June 2012.
We shall be introducing courses in “Diet and Nutrition”, “Insurance Marketing
and Salesmanship”, “Home Science”, “Massage and Naturopathy” and “Computer
Basics with the use of Assistive Technology”.
The details of these courses are listed below for your kind reference.
TTI would be obliged if you can spread this information as widely as possible
and help the new generation of visually impaired students to make a informed
decesion about their career prospects.
New Courses offered at TTI:
1 Certificate IN COMPUTER BASICS (FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED)
a. Eligibility: 12th passed
b. Duration: 6 months
c. Employment Oppurtunities: Help desk executive/customer care executive,
voice accent trainer, verifier, (if have good English skills,) Production
support, Tele-marketing, medical transcriptionist, MIS (report) executive,
telephone operator, HR executive, training coordinator, admin assistant, social
worker, self employment via internet jobs.
2 Certificate in NEUTRITION AND DIET
a. Eligibility: 12th passed
b. Duration: 1 year
c. Employment Oppurtunities: 1. Work as Qualified assistants in Nutrition
labs.
2. Work as a good Community and Social worker.
3. Work in Small Scale Industries.
4. Supervisor in “Meal Programmer” and other community Health centers.
5. Lab assistant in colleges
6. Work as vidya volunteer.
7. Work as cluster co-coordinator in different Nutritional Projects.
8. Work as supervisor in ICDS scheme.
9. Can work in Food Research Oriented labs or Food Technological Institutes.
3 Certificate IN ACUPRESSURE & MASSAGE ( FOR BLIND)
a. Eligibility: 10th Passed
b. Duration: 6 months
c. Employment Oppurtunities: 1. Employment in Govt. Hospital and Private
Clinic for Visually Handicapped persons as Acupresurist and massager.
2. Self-employment:-To start her/his own small clinic for
Acupressure and Massage.
4 CERTIFICATE COURSE IN HOME SCIENCE
a. Eligibility: 10th Passed
b. Duration: 1 Year
c. Employment Oppurtunities: Training as a Home Maker
5 Certificate Course in INSURANCE Marketing and
Salesmanship
a. Eligibility: 12th Passed
b. Duration: 1 Year

7. Artificial flower making.
