Hi, It is always advisable to unplug the charger from the unit once the charging is complete. Gives life to the battery. Phen, 1 year and it is already acting up? That is weird but I can expect this to happen with a HP laptop. Even my battery died after a year of use. Warranty won't cover it now. Check with the sales guys you bought the laptop from if they can assist. Don't go for technical help without exploiting the warranty. If you meddle with the unit, warranty will void. Let us not let that happen.
