well you can certainly check the remaining characters of the message before
sending. press talks key and press long soft key 2 the number you will hear
is the remaining characters of your message. if you press talks and long
prress key 2 in a blank message, you will hear 160 (1) upper case. the
anouncement of lower case or uper case depends upon mode of typing. (1)
indicates that you are in message 1 and after completing the 160 characters
(1) will change to (2) and it will show the characters for the message 2.
